About the SentreHEART Lariat

Headquartered in Redwood City, California, SentreHEART manufactures a range of medical products, including the LARIAT Suture Delivery Device, the FindrWIRZ Magnetic Guide Wire System, and the EndoCATH Large Occlusion Balloon. The LARIAT, SentreHEART’s flagship product, offers a suture based solution to close soft tissue that is compatible with a wide range of anatomical shapes. Many of SentreHEART’s other innovations, such as the SofTIP Guide Cannula and the SureCUT Suture Cutter, are part of the LARIAT family of products and are designed to facilitate its use. The device has been the subject of a variety of publications including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology. Physicians can use the LARIAT to remotely deliver a 45-millimeter, pre-tied suture loop of braided polyester through an access space of 4.3 millimeters or more. It features a collapsible snare that retains the suture until ready to deploy. This allows the physician to confirm the soft tissue closure location prior to suture release. After deploying the suture, the device leaves only a small amount of polyester behind, nothing else.
